mom hates weekends

Mom hates weekends she has to get up at 4 am and I perfer to stay in the bed. But this morning I got up frisky and took an old rawhide flip chip and was tossing up in the air for my Mom.
Mom took me to to vet Friday and when we left they must have switched my Mom with some other lady who looks just like Mom but isn't. The nice lady vet came out to the car dragging a big 40 pound of low fat dog food and Mom grumbled all the way home how I was going to lose weight or else.
She said the dog food cost 60 dollars but she'd pay anything to make sure I don't get diabetes like my sister Jewel did. So now she puts down this ucky tasting food and I hold out to see if she may fall sorry for me and give me something else. So far it hasn't worked and she's determined to stick with this food. This is day 2 of her experiment. I'll just try and see what cute things I have to do to get her to see things my way.
Mom says she's cutting back on her food too but I knows she still stops at McDonalds or Wendy's way too much.
Well gotta go get into micheif now. Blogging later if Mom's not to lazy to write for me. Mollie

  1. Ahhhh Mollie, my mom did the samething to me last year. Only she didn't buy the food from a vet. She bought it at a feed store (as other places don't carry it). Its called Innova Evo Reduced, and its $$$$$ cheaper than what your mom paid. I went from 33 pounds down to 26 in about 6 to 8 months. I only got 2/3 cup in the morning and 1/4 cup at night. Yep, I was always hungry, but I lost the weight! Weight on a basenji is not good. So you should be a good girl and try to loose some of the weight. Nobody wants you to get sick.

  2. Mollie, I'm very sorry to learn that your mom is starving you in this horrible way, but I have heard that it's not healthy to be plump. Maybe this is just propaganda, but who knows? You sure don't want to get diabetes. That is no fun at all. Try eating some of the new food. Maybe it won't be so terrible once you get used to it!
